Daiwa BG Series preferred by Drizzle Bar Charters
Always have been a fan of the Daiwa Black Gold (BG) Series for being rugged and dependable. Currently replaced all 20 reels with BG 3000s. The updated version is friggin awesome! The reels are currently used on the charter boat Drizzle Bar in the Chesapeake Bay and have hauled in strippers in excess of 30”. They are smooth and the ridged alloy body prevents twisting when larger fish are hooked up allowing the angler to have better control when landing the “big one”. The solid handle is an added benefit on the charter boat allowing quick changes for left and right handed anglers.
