Founded in 1999 as an e-commerce fishing gear store devoted to fishing enthusiasts, it provides a one-stop resource of products and information for freshwater and saltwater fishing activities.  The company's e-commerce storefront offers a wide selection of nationally branded fishing products.

 

In 2005, Alltackle expanded into a 3000 S.F. space which was the internet fulfillment HQ.  This space includes a 2000 S.F. retail showroom.  In 2007, we added a second fishing tackle store location in West Ocean City, MD to serve our off shore fishing customers.  Additional east coast locations are planned.

 

In 2009, Alltackle expanded once again into a 6000 S.F. space with a 4000SF fishing tackle store showroom and internet fulfillment center.

 

Our U.S. and international visitors now have a one stop shop for all types of fishing equipment and information.  We are continuously adding more products to our fishing tackle store, and we are on-call to special order any items requested by our users.

Fish for A Cure was started in 2007 by a group of friends and business associates looking for an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, fulfill their passion for fishing and to have fun. After a successful first year, the wife of one of the main participants was struck with cancer. A rigorous treatment schedule and the demands of daily family life nearly saw the end of the tournament. However, a few of the group members took the reins and decided to turn it into a charitable event to raise money for the facility that was providing cancer treatments — Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

After two successful years of raising money for Sloan Kettering ($7,000 in 2008 and $26,000 in 2009) and a growing following, the group decided to make the tournament benefactor a local charity, Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute. The success of the first couple of years helped with the decision to “step it up a notch” and the group set a lofty goal of $50,000.

With the continued efforts of a growing board, our unique Paul C. Dettor Captain’s Challenge event and the added support of AAMC, the tournament has donated more than $1,750,000 to AAMC since 2010. We’re proud to say that 100% of the donations to the Paul C.Dettor Captain’s Challenge has traditionally gone directly to the AAMC. In addition, the event continues to grow with an increasing number of captains, anglers, partiers and sponsors taking part in the tournament each year.

In 2018, it is the board’s objective to continue to grow the tournament and raise as much money as possible to help find a Cure for Cancer. With the added help of people like you, we feel that our potential is unlimited. We raised $400,000 in 2017 and continue to increase the number of participants while maintaining a fun atmosphere.

Alltackle.com proudly supports Fishing For Muscular Dystrophy.  Fishing For MD (Muscular Dystrophy), or FFMD, is an offshore fishing team that has a strategic alliance with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) whose purpose is “Fighting Muscle Disease”. Through fundraising activities, sponsorships and tournament winnings, FFMD aims to increase awareness for muscular dystrophy and related diseases that limit strength and mobility, while raising money to help MDA fund lifesaving research and support programs that will help kids and adults affected live longer and grow stronger.
